ABOUT ME
The long
story short
Hello,
I’m Alexandre Sar, an Interaction Designer from a small town outside of Paris - now based in St Louis, MO!
With a keen interest in design and innovation, I’ve always been passionate about directly connecting with people, learning their stories, and helping them implement change and growth.
In France, I worked with nonprofit organizations such as STOP, an organization fighting against human trafficking, and entrepreneurs like Sandra Seifert, a passionate person who launched her clothing line. I always enjoyed collaborating on various design needs, such as graphic and website design, logos, t-shirts, and other marketing materials.
From there, I took my experience to Criteo, as an in-house designer, for larger international corporations while I worked as a freelancer with agencies and clients, as well. At Criteo, I collaborated on a prototype for a new internal design tool. The goal was to improve the productivity of more than 20 designers and enhance the client review process by simplifying how to share feedback, as well. Some of the outcomes of the project included internal meetings with cross-team members as well as workshops.
When I settled in Chicago in 2015, I decided to found Sdachdesign - my design consultancy - to collaborate with entrepreneurs and small businesses here in the United States. To date, I have helped over 30 teams elevate their design, from an app, website, visual design prototyping to producing all required assets for a successful product launch. I’m proud of the Alameda County voting offices website redesign, where I created a design system to enhance the readability and overall experience of the website. It was exciting to see how I could help the citizens of Alameda County access important voting information by ensuring that the typography and the colors met accessibility standards. To date, the website has more than 9,000 visitors monthly.
Besides my design work, I enjoy supporting different humanitarian projects like the National Cambodian Museum and the organization called STOP. I believe design can make a difference in the world and I find it very inspiring to see my designs make this change in the world happen!
I’m always open to chatting about my latest design project or humanitarian project. Feel free to reach out to me at hi@alexsar.us or via Linkedin.
